The Miracle In The Hills Church

What We Believe

As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), we believe that our salvation is assured through faith in Jesus Christ. Therefore, God calls us for service to others. We are led to promote and practice a life that nourishes all peoples and life on the planet God has entrusted to our care.   In governance, we stress representational active leadership of both ministers and church members, who serve as elders.

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has approximately 2.3 million members, more than 10,000 congregations and 14,000 ordained and active ministers.  Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th century and the Protestant Reformation. Our heritage, and much of what we believe, began with John Calvin (1509-1564), whose writings crystallized much of the Reformed thinking that came before him.  To learn more about the PCUSA, read Presbyterian 101: A General Guide to the PCUSA or visit the PCUSA website: pcusa.org.
